Girlfriend assault: TVC Presenter, Wale Fakile refutes arrest by Police, says Mandy demanded N50k, drunk

TheGong : Embattled Television Continental (TVC) presenter, Wale ‘Richboy’ Fakile, has denied any arrest by the Nigeria Police over the alleged assault on his girlfriend, identified as Mandy, insisting that she was high on energy drink and demanded N50,000, reports TheGong . According to the earlier message and pictures shared by activist cum Co-ordinator,  Walk Against Rape campaign, Esther Ijewere-Kalejaiye as received from the victim, Mandy, seeking justice for the assault. The girl pleaded that her full name should not be published, but wished to be identified as Mandy. Excerpt from the message read, "Dont publish my   name pls, am pass Mandy, my supposed boyfriend that works with TVC beat me yesterday to stupor with bruises all over and he said there is nothing I can do about it bcos he is rich and works with TVC and am poor ." Drug & Sex: Cosby has case to answer - Court

The Gong : A United State (US) judge has decided there is enough evidence to send actor and comedian Bill Cosby to trial on a sexual assault charge, reports The Gong . According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Mr Cosby was accused of drugging and molesting a former Temple University employee in his home outside of Philadelphia in 2004. The Gong  recollects that the case was opened last year after dozens of women came forward with similar accusations. While Mr. Cosby maintained that all of the encounters were consensual. However, the Police in its charge sheet stated that the accuser, Andrea Constand, who now lives in Toronto, said she was drugged. “I told him, ‘I can’t talk, Mr Cosby’. I started to panic,” Ms Constand told police in 2005 following the incident, describing how Mr Cosby allegedly sexually violated her after giving her three blue pills. Infidelity: Police arrests Ronke’s husband for murder

TheGong : The Lagos State Police command has confirmed the arrest of Mr. Lekan Shondi for the suspected murder of his wife, Ronke at the weekend over alleged infidelity, reports TheGong . The police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, was quoted as saying they tracked him down, stressing that Lekan would be soon transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation for further actions. Also, there are reports that Lekan purportedly surrendered himself to the Police by reporting personally, the Police is yet to confirm that. However, Nigerians are condemned the alleged murder of his wife, Ronke and mother of his two children due to alleged infidelity.
