CRC30: Promoting right to childhood - TheGong

Thirty years ago, world leaders made an historic commitment to the world’s children by adopting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child – an international agreement on childhood. It’s become the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history and has helped transform children’s lives around the world. But still not every child gets to enjoy a full childhood; too many childhoods are cut short. It is up to our generation to demand that leaders from government, business and communities fulfil their commitments and take action for child rights now, once and for all. They must commit to making sure every child, has every right.

Children’s Day gift: Etisalat kiddies show kicks off audition for season 2

The Gong : The season 2 auditioning for the Etisalat sponsored children TV show ‘ Kids Say the Darndest Things’ kicks of this Saturday, 28th May 2016 at the Ultima Studios, Lekki, Lagos, reports The Gong . The Gong :  The popular music of the new generation, known as ‘Bongo Flava’ has evolved from being seen as an art for ‘outlaws’-or rather;  that’s how the older generation viewed it about two decades ago, courtesy, Tigo Tanzania , reports The Gong . The ‘pop’ music genre is the most loved source of entertainment by all, both young and old. Even as Tigo has so far supported over 20 Tanzanian artistes through Tigo Music Platform since it was established in January 2015. Bongo Flava has literally transformed the local music scene and also gained international recognition in East Africa, Africa and beyond.
